Our Values

SeaSistersProducts-Ethical-Handloom-Prod

Ethical

Our products are made locally and sustainably, providing job opportunities for Sri Lankan women. In collaboration with

Rice & Carry, a fair trade social enterprise on Sri Lanka's East coast, our products also support the fair trade movement.

SeaSistersProducts-Ethical-Handloom-Prod

Slow

In contrast to fast fashion, we believe in supporting local artisans and preserving traditional crafts. In Sri Lanka, handloom weaving is one of the oldest

(543 BC) and most skilled techniques. Our beautiful SeaSisters fabrics are made by Sookriya on a traditional  handloom chair in her home on

Sri Lanka's East Coast.

Diverse

We seek to foster more diversity in women's surfing and challenge the stereotype of the typical 'blond bikini-wearing' surfer girl.

Our SeaSisters illustrations, featured in our product line, are

made in collaboration with female surf artists from across the world, showcasing diversity and the best of Sri Lankan surf culture.
